Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H, fixed-term and part-time position (currently 24 hours per week)

Part-time position with 60 % of the working hours of a full-time employee. This is a fixed term-position of three years with the possibility of extending the contract for a further two years (position for academic qualification corresponding to § 65 HHG i. V. m. § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG; candidates have the opportunity to obtain a doctorate/PhD).


  • Services in research and teaching in the field of Public Economics, preferably in one of the following areas: Local Public Economics, Digitalization in the Public Sector, Public Choice or Behavioral Economics
  • Key tasks within teaching include preparing and giving lectures, seminars, tutorials and field trips as well as the advancement of teaching concept in “Wirtschaftspolitik”, Public Economics or Behavioral Economics
  • Assistance in the application for and realization of research projects


  • Completed course of academic study (Master degree) within the field of Economics, Economic Psychology, Political Science or Public Administration or a related subject. The required degree must be available by the recruitment date at the latest.
  • Skills and first experience in quantitative methods
  • Good knowledge of the English language in speaking and writing


  • Practical experience in teaching and programming
  • Empirical research experience in one of the above areas
  • Good knowledge of the German language in speaking and writing
