This is a fixed term-position of three years as part of the project ‘CO2-neutral biomass-based particle interactions for NET-ZERO concretes (BIOMAC) - experiments and modelling’ within the framework of the priority programme ‘Climate-neutral concrete’ in accordance with § 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG, with the possibility of extension the contract. The possibility of a doctorate is given.


Tasks:

  • Scientific processing of a research project in a national research network in the field of “Sustainable and emission-free concretes” in the specialist area of construction materials and construction chemistry
  • Fundamental and applied research on concretes with focus on increasing sustainability
  • Conducting independent experimental investigations in the field of chemical-mineralogical and physical-mechanical analyses
  • Presenting new knowledge and results of own research work within the research network, in journals and at national and international conferences/symposia
  • Evaluating results and contributing to the preparation of research reports


Requirements:

  • Completed scientific university degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or geosciences with a good to very good Master's degree. The required degree must be available by the recruitment date at the latest
  • Knowledge in the field of inorganic-mineral binders and concrete technology
  • Knowledge of modern testing and measurement technology, in particular with regard to qualitative and quantitative evaluation of microstructural material properties
  • IT experience and a high interdisciplinary willingness to learn and cooperate, very good to good communication skills in English and at least average skills in German
