The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is seeking a highly qualified individual for the following position as soon as possible:

Full-time position. The prerequisites for employment and performance requirements are determined by §§ 61, 62 of the Higher Education Act of the Federal State of Hesse (HHG).
We are looking for an internationally renowned researcher whose scientific excellence and international visibility is documented by top-ranking publications in an area of information security, for instance privacy, secure A.I. systems, IT forensics, cryptology, data security, secure network systems.
The professor is expected to participate actively in the Research Center for Information System Design (ITeG), and to form interdisciplinary cooperations as well as publications in relevant journals, preferably peer-reviewed. Experience in attracting third-party funding, particularly through the German Research Foundation (DFG), is expected.
Teaching duties extend to the Bachelor and Master curricula in computer science, in particular to the domains of information security as well as participation in teaching mandatory and export modules to a reasonable extent. The professor is also expected to participate in teaching for the international Master program “Functional Safety Engineering”. Educational qualifications and the willingness to conduct teaching in German and English are expected.
Participation in academic self-governance is expected. Important note: The department is aiming to increase the proportion of female professors and therefore encourages female researchers particularly to apply.
